The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), a government entity established in 2002, plays a strategic role in enhancing commodity trade flows through Dubai. DMCC offers a unique opportunity for investors in a wide range of commodities including precious commodities, energy related sectors, base metals, and agricultural commodities. Besides, DMCC is also devoted into other important supporting industries such as finance, logistics, consulting and insurance. It was endorsed by the “Global Free Zone of the Year” awarded from the Financial Times fDi Magazine. More than 15,000 companies, including both large international companies and startups, have been set up in DMCC. On average, more than 170 new companies are established in DMCC per month, 95% of which are new in Dubai.
